Day 2:After breakfast,we were transferred to Dalat, where the weather there is extreamely cold.just like Genting:) The journey took approximately 10 hrs including luch and toilet breaks. On our way we passed by many tea and coffee plantations. We then visited the local Tea & Coffee Plantation & Factory to learn more about tea and coffee. After that we went to the best local restaurant and then check into a different hotel at Dalat.
Day 3:After breakfast we went to the Bui Thi Xuan Secondary School. The students the were very affectionate. We even exchange our contact details and took photos together. We spent about 3 hours there of which 1 hour was spent on attending their english lesson. It was a unforgettable experience. After that we went to have our lunch at a nearby restaurant and then to the long anticipated strawberry farm. Each of us had a chance to pluck a few strawberries which were served to us during dinner time that night.Next, we went to the tribal village which i enjoyed alot. They villagers were very hospitable as they sang songs for us and even welcomed us to their homes when it was drizzling. We helped them to build barriers which were used for blocking out wild boars.Although it was tiring but i felt worthy after seeing the smiles on the villagers faces. Our last activity was the night bazaar which marks the end of our last day in Dalat.Dinner at a local restaurant.
Day 4:After breakfast, we visted the Bao Dai Villa which was one of the few remaining exmaples of French colonial architectecture in Vietnam. As everyone began to fall sick, the teachers had decided to cancel off the visit to the Dalat flower Garden:( therefore we had to miss out the beautiful scenery in the flower garden and depart back to Saigon. On our way back, the teachers had decided to cancel the visit to the Frenn Water Fall as they were afraid we might catch a cold there. It was rather depressing.During dinner time, many of us fell ill and some of us( including me) had to see a doctor while the rest go back to their hotel.
Day 5:Sick for the whole day.So i stayed in the hotel till late night.Running high fever:41.1 at that time. But next morning temperature dropped:)
Day 6:After lunch, we went the VietSing industrial park which was quite interesting. After that, we went to the morning bazzar which I felt was much better than the night bazaar in Dalat. There were much more things sold there, and it was fun bargaining with the shopkeepers. However, the given time was limited as we had to spent more time at the orphanage school where we would do our CIP.At the orphanage school, we were told that 70% of the children here were either physically deformed or brain damaged. Therefore we couldn't carry out what we had prepared earlier on.We had to play by ear.It was heart-breaking to see the pitiful babies and children.I really felt that it was very meaningful by entertaining the children. At last we went back to the Saigon airport which marks the end of our 6 days 5 nights vietnam trip.It was the most unforgettble trip I've ever experienced.Hope that there would be more of such trip next year specially plan for the sec 4s.
